Summary

As a co-founder of Saftladen, I helped establish what became Berlin’s first indie game collective and coworking space. Originally founded in a former juice press in Kreuzberg and later relocating to Mitte. Over the course of a decade, I managed the collective’s day-to-day operations, negotiated contracts, and built the organizational structures that allowed the community to thrive. Under my management, the number of members grew from 10 to almost 50, and I hired and onboarded community managers to support the growing membership and public-facing activities. Beyond the operational side, I was deeply involved in shaping Saftladen’s identity as more than just a profitable coworking space — a collective of diverse game developers who support one another and advocate for Berlin’s independent game scene. Saftladen became as much a community center for Berlin’s diverse indie scene as a coworking space, regularly hosting events open to the public and welcoming developers from across the city and beyond.
